WELCOME TO THE 2022-2023 SCHOOL YEAR
We are off to a good start! Thank you, parents, for completing the re-enrollment online this year. It has made a tremendous difference in the amount of paper that did not need to get printed at the start of the year. Our hot breakfast and lunch program is an exciting addition this year. The students are enjoying new items like kaluah pork, green chile tamale with cilantro lime rice, chicken fajitas and much more. Please continue to send in your free or reduced lunch applications.
Our HVAC facilities project at Briggs School is in the final stages. We are fine tuning and hope to close the project soon.
As we start this year, we want to reassure families that the district is committed to quality education in a safe school setting. We understand the concern you may have regarding COVID-19 and the variants that are currently active in our communities. We remain committed to following all federal, state and county guidelines and will keep all of you aware of any changes along the way.
I encourage parents, guardians, grandparents, and community members to visit our school sites when it is safe to do so to see the wonderful learning opportunities we offer. We know that students need parent support and invite parents to take an active role in their child’s education by building this partnership between school and home.
Respectfully,
Deborah Cuevas
Superintendent
