COVID-19 Resources

Dear Briggs School District Families,

I hope this message finds you and your family well.  I know it has been a long, difficult summer, and it is soon time to think about the school year starting again. As a reminder, following Governor Newsoms July 17, 2020, announcement regarding the State’s plan for reopening of schools for the 2020-2021 school year, Briggs School District and all schools in Ventura County will begin their school year via distance learning.  That means that all students will remain at home and taught remotely. Briggs School Districts’ first day of school is scheduled for Thursday, August 27, 2020.    We are currently working on schedules with minimal cohort class sizes to enhance the opportunity for a more interactive process for learning. Every student will have interactions with their teachers daily. More information will be forthcoming regarding first day packets,  laptop pickup, schedules and meal pickup.
